    What Your Client Sees

Here is what your client sees when you share a report - the email, the link, and what they can and can't do.

    What Happens

    1

They get an email. StrataReports sends it, but the reply-to address is your account email. If your client replies, the message comes straight to you.

    2

The link opens the report. They need no account, no password, and nothing to install.

    3

They read your report. Building facts and the summary sit at the top. The side navigation covers every section.

    They Can

    • Read every section. They see the same sections you do.

    • See which documents were found. The Report Sources section lists what was detected and how many files were found.

    • Open the original documents. Only if you turned on Include full document access for that share. Otherwise the documents stay private.

    They Can't

    • Share the report onward. The Share button is hidden.

    • Update the report. Update Report is not in their ••• menu.

    • Print the report. Print Report is greyed out for them. Print it yourself and send the PDF.

    The Report Assistant

    Sign in to chat

The message box reads Sign in to chat until your client signs in with a free account. They start a fresh, empty thread, and your own conversation stays private. Each report caps how many questions can be asked, and the assistant stops there.

    Client Link vs Public Link

    Client link

Enter a name and email, then click Share with Client. StrataReports emails that person a private link, and keeps them in your Clients list for copying it again.

    Public link & QR code

Click Create Public Link & QR Code, and the link and QR code are emailed to you. Anyone holding them can open the report, and public links expire after 90 days.

The Scan to open QR code on a printed report opens the report only, never the documents. Learn more about printing reports.

    Good to know

    • Anyone with the link can open the report, so treat a shared link as forwardable.
    • You can't revoke a link in the app. If you need one shut down, contact support@stratareports.ca.

    Frequently Asked Questions

No. The link opens the full report in their browser. An account is needed for one thing only: asking the Report Assistant a question.

It comes to you. StrataReports sends the email, but the reply-to address is your account email.

No. Your conversation stays private. Your client starts a fresh, empty thread, and you never see theirs either.

Only if you turned on 'Include full document access' when you shared. With it off, the documents stay private.

Not from the app. Public links stop working after 90 days. If you need a link shut down sooner, contact support@stratareports.ca.
